멀해도 원작이 훨씬 낳은 아이온

아이온 하면 할수록 와우와 리니지를 절묘하게 아이온에 녹였다기 보다는 와우와 리니지를 엉성하게 만들었다는 느낌이 계속 든다.

근데 이 생각은 게임 내에서만 드는게 아니라 마케팅에서도 같은 생각이 들었다.

아이온은 현재 활발하게 마케팅을 진행중이다.

그중에서도 동영상 마케팅이 지금 이슈가 되고 있다.

이 동영상 마케팅은 이 닌텐도에서 슈퍼마리오를 가지고 진행한적이 있는 마케팅 기법이다.

그런데 이걸 아이온에서 그대로 카피해서 동영상 마케팅을 진행했으나, 역시 게임이면 게임 마케팅이면 마케팅 멀해도 원작이 낳다. ㅡ.ㅡ;

슈퍼마리오는 플레이되는 게임 임팩트에 맞도록 유투브의 UI를 마구자비로 부스고 떨어트리고 있다.
하지만 아이온이 진행한 광고를 보면, 다음의 UI화면을 깨지기는 떨어트리고 있지만  실상 동영상과의 매칭이 맞아 떨어지지 않는다.

동영상을 다 보셨는가? 그렇다면 슈퍼마리오의 깨진 유투브의 UI를 마우스로 움직여 보라.
동영상이 끝난 후에도 재미를 주고 있다.

하지만 아이온은 그걸로 끝이다. 댓글이나 달고 나가라는건가?

게임에서도 와우만의 퀘스트와 방대한 연계시나리오, 시스템과 리니지의 작업장 시스템을 그대로 아이온에 녹여 넣었지만, 게임을 하면 할수록 퀘스트와 시나리오와의 연계성은 떨어지고, 시스템은 어정쩡하게 녹여 넣었기 때문에 아이온만의 색깔을 가진다기 보다는 리니지3에 와우 시스템 배꼈구나 라는 느낌을 버릴수 없다.

MMORPG에서 날고 싶은 욕망을 이용한 티저사이트를 제공하였지만, 실상 게임에서는 날고 싶은 욕망보다는 왠지 떨어져서 죽지 않을까 하는 욕망과 언제 날수 있을까라는 막연한 기대감을 가지게 하고 있으니....

멀해도!! 원작이 낳다.. ㅡ.ㅡ;;;

그렇다고 아이온이 재미 없다는건 아니다.
